Misty Greenway – REALTOR®

Misty Greenway has been a Realtor on the Grand Strand since mid 2005.  Her first year in real estate she was in the running for her company’s Rookie of the Year award for the most closed transactions. She’s also received the awards for Top Listing and Selling Agent many times over the years from the company. She’s a Realtor that only knows how to give 1000% to her clients and in 2009 she was a Finalist for the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce ICE Awards for Incredible Customer Experience. Her first year working with RE/MAX she achieved the Executive Club having only joined the company in July of that year.

With these personal accomplishments you would think Misty’s sole career has always been in real estate, but that’s not the case.  Growing up in Hickory, NC and after graduating and then attending college she later worked as a client coordinator in the dental profession. In September of 2000 Misty followed her father here to Surfside Beach whom had lived here since 1994. She worked for a local dental practice in Surfside again as a client coordinator for over 4 years before deciding to obtain her real estate license. After hearing for years from so many of her friends that she should go into the real estate business, she finally listened. Myrtle Beach had always been like a second home to her because as a child she traveled here many times a year with her family. Her father even played the saxophone for several years in a band that once opened for the Original Drifters in the mid 70′s at the old Holiday Inn Downtown. She has some fantastic memories of those days which she loves to share. Four years ago she convinced her mother and brother to move here from Hickory and she couldn’t be happier having them in Surfside so close by. The Grand Strand has always owned a huge piece of her heart from all her childhood memories along these beaches. It’s no wonder she now helps people find their dream home up and down this part of the SC coast.

You might have noticed the pink ribbon on the Beach Realty Group websites. We show our pink support for Misty because in May 2010 she was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Don’t let her hear you sound sad about it though because she’s been an incredible fighter since day one. She’s undergone surgery, chemotherapy and radiation since her diagnosis and as she’ll tell you, she’s doing better than great! Her supershort hairstyle is the only way you’d know she’s been through so much. She is proud to call herself an Ambassador for breast cancer awareness and plans to do speaking engagements and motivational speeches in the future to help others facing a similar diagnosis.

Misty is unmarried, with no children and often describes herself as being married to her true love which is selling real estate. Recently her younger brother, Nick Maney, joined our company and you’ll often find Misty and Nick working together with clients. They both share the same passion for the business and as a team they enjoy helping many people find the exact property they want and need.
